@DragonFruit I understand. Some people assume I am rich because my dad was an Academy Award winning writer/director. But they don't know he was Blacklisted due to his politics and being married to my left wing CP mother. We went from riches to rags almost overnight during my early childhood; I wore hand-me-down clothes and we lived in semi-tough neighborhoods throughout most of my childhood.

That I came from a nice safe middle class home. That I grew up normal.
I'm together enough not to show the miserable background I did come from; I give myself credit for learning to appear normal. But inside I am a haunted woman. The ghosts of the old CP still scare me now and then. And I greatly envy those who did come from regular normal homes.
My actual insane, frightening and destructive background is revealed in my Featured story under my Profile here. I'm proud of overcoming it as much as I could. But it still haunts me at times. Lots of things scare me that don't affect other people. And I have what people on this chat site call "trust issues," which is to say that I don't trust people much. And, when I do, they tend to let me down.
