I wish i applied myself more

I used to be in school for engineering And physics but switched to PR. Our PR department is demanding and hands on for sure, but doesn't have the same intellectual challenges as stem, and I kind of miss it. I could do the work...i went through all of the math. And physics is so interesting to me. But I wasn't happy. Idk why I wasnt. I like being in PR too and made really great connections, but I miss physics a lot.

you did not find calculus to be really hard????? 馃樅
Plumouter26-30, M
@trackboy I did at first, actually failed my first time lol. but then it like "clicked" ya know? It's not like other maths lol so it was hard to grasp at first, but then I found it easy afterwards

@Plumouter then your a natural engineer. there is a shortage of engineers and the pay is really high. a lot of pr guys with many competing for each job. and each company competing with other companies for pr work. 馃樅
Plumouter26-30, M
@trackboy that is true, I just think it was a weird point in my life and I was super unmotivated. But it is what it is. I did like physics more than the engineering anyway tho
trackboy22-25, M
@Plumouter what did you like in physics? thermodynamics? optics? electromagnetism?? gravity?? relativity?? quantum physics? or the mechanical physics that is the main part of the physics textbook? 馃樅
Plumouter26-30, M
@trackboy relativity the most, because I love space. I technically have a minor in astrophysics. But honestly I loved everything, I don't know if it's just my Curious nature but I like learning about how the world works
trackboy22-25, M
@Plumouter relativity is at the end of the physics book and is kind of the desert as its really interesting and is saved as a reward for those who made it all the way through the course. did yours have the physics of a black hole?? I liked the relativity. and loved optics. i like stuff that is visual. and the interference patterns were interesting. and I'm still puzzled how light can be both a wave and a particle at the same time. 馃樅
Plumouter26-30, M
@trackboy Optics was one of my favorites too. And yeah I remember in my astrophysics book we talked about black holes and stuff a bit. Really interesting stuff!
Plumouter26-30, M
@trackboy and the particle wave Duality is really cool too! I remember a lab where we did the double slit experiment
trackboy22-25, M
@Plumouter how did you like the double-slit experiment?? did you use the viewer that shows you the optic lines from the fluorescent lights, and from various gas tubes like neon and helium and argon?? 馃樅is strange how light acts both like a wave with the diffraction grating, and like particles on solar cells? 馃樅
Plumouter26-30, M
@trackboy no we just used regular light with slits nothing fancy lol
trackboy22-25, M
@Plumouter @Plumouter so you did not look at the emission lines of fluorescent lights and the lines of various gas tubes?? 馃樅 did you do anything with a van de graph generator??
