No one is completely self made. We are the product of decisions made by others: family, politicians, soldiers, business people, etc etc sometimes up to 50 years before our birth.
What’s self determined is how much excellence we can achieve within that context.
And yes, I give thanks to the Creator who has blessed me many ways over.
