How long can you listen to mindless conversations before you start wanting to rip your own ears off?

I can sure relate to this. My tolerance for mindless talk diminishes by the day.

I can’t listen to mindless conversations. I zone out, if I’m stuck there, and I just smile and nod occasionally. However, I can listen for a long time, if it’s an interesting conversation.

I was actually experiencing that yesterday. A conversation that was mind numbing I was caught in the middle of. 😐️

I think that every conversation is mindless, unless I care about it really.

For me that's four minutes too long.

If any of the participants say “like” every fifth word it makes me want to intervene.

Depends on my mood

Some days I can laugh it off other days I don’t want to be amongst it at all but it helps to share how you’re feeling around the table or wherever you are

That's the nature of SW. I am usually on for only half an hour before I log off. Boredom makes e log in again but it always disappoints. I wish there was more for me to while stuck in bed, crippled.

That's about all I can take unless its joke telling and ball busting or talking about plans. I can talk all.day about art,movies and music, outdoors, mechanics or PCB layout for hours.

The news,politics, how's work, feels, some great episode of True Crime, or whatever dumb shit. After about 3 minutes I start to use any hidden psychic abilities I may have trying to make your eyes and ears bleed profusely.
