As ever quick as I am to reject the religious dogma that was taught to me in youth, in favor of a more scientific explanation of reality..

there is something that's always stuck with me, no matter my evolving perceptions, and that is the state of the scales at the hour of my death.

Of all the rights and wrongs I've ever done, and how it affected other people.

Whether or not I am to be judged for it by a deity aside, I am aware of it!

I feel like.. it really matters. 馃ズ

I could agree with that. I think it matters. But also important to realize that we can not do enough good to tip the scales in our favor. It is our nature to be self seeking and selfish. In fact our culture teaches us to be selfish. What do we want to do, where do we want to go, how does something affect me... There is only one who is good.
It does matter. A lot.
