Do you like where you are currently living?

I live in NYC. Been living here since 1994. I am currently 30. I use to love living here but not anymore. Frankly, with rising rent, over population, hipsters and gentrification, this city is becoming for the rich. Due to the cost of living the homeless rate has gone up. I feel things will get worst in the years to come.

This city has become really overrated and not worth living here anymore in my opinion. Many of my friends who've moved out have become really successful. I plan to follow in their footsteps soon. I work as graphic designer making 40k per yr. We work for many real estate companies, designing floor plans, banners, books etc.... the prices they are charging for apartments are mind blowing. Speaking of which, there're apartment buildings and condominiums going up everywhere in the city.

I have love for NYC but I can't stay here anymore.

Everything you’ve described I can say about San Francisco—a city of billionaires and homeless. I’m a retiree in a rent-controlled flat, but I imagine I’ll eventually be priced out and have to leave the state.

@bijouxbroussard That's truly sad, things should not be like this. There is enough wealth to go around. But the greed of men is something else. I hope things get better for you.
