In tutorial, we used the example of an airliner with 250 passengers on board, which was going to crash land, possibly causing the death of thousands of people. Should the government (military) shoot the airliner down, thus sacrificing the lives of 250, in order to save thousands? It’s a tough decision @TheunderdogofNY

@BalmyNites It's easy on paper to figure out and the math works. But to equate human life to simple math is disheartening to say the least. I can't imagine having to explain that to the families.

Obviously every option should be explored thrice before even considering deadly force on citizens to prevent even greater casualties.
