I try hard and often am. But it’s easy For me to fall into one of two traps: problem solver or planning what I want to say before you finish talking. I will keep trying to be a better listener.
@trackman11 The second one (planning what to say next) happens to me a lot 😥 I think it's human nature. I'll try harder to be a better listener too :)

@AskingTheUniverse my job is coaching college student-athletes and being a good listener (especially when conversation is non-verbal) is really important. I’ve grown a lot in this area but still struggle. If we both concentrate on progress and not perfection, I think we will get there. The fact you asked the question indicates to me that listening is a strength for you.
