If life doesnt start till birth, why are people charged with 2 counts of murder when they murder pregnant women?

people say this life doesnt begin till birth stuff as what i think a way to justify abortions and so on yet the law seems to see it different..

thoughts?

I don't think that anyone believes that life starts at birth. You can give birth on Monday, so on that Sunday was it a life?
The issue is that for the purpose of abortion people want to have a place to draw a hard line.
This is why late term abortion is considered terrible and often not allowed or severely restricted because most people consider this murder after the point of viability. 24 or so weeks.

@REMsleep I get that I just think people should just call it for what it actually is instead of just trying to pretend it isn't a life is some situations and contradict themselves when they say it is during other times
