Are women saying they're complicated because they just don't want to be understood by men?

No. They are saying it because they dont understand themselves. But they are not that complicated really.

@whowasthatmaskedman yep, either they are right or men don't understand them really.

@whowasthatmaskedman You make a good point.. many of us, men and women don't really fully understand ourselves unless it's in hindsight. Few of us really take the time to think and analyse why we do what we do

@Adaydreambeliever Agreed. (Not that there is anything wrong with that.) I wont go into rights, wrongs ans specifics. I think its situational in fact. But my one overarching thought is that a marriage today is a vastly different animal to a mid twentieth century marriage. The roles, expectations and norms were honed in tune with a slowly evolving society. (relatively) Now change is faster than humans can adapt. My son and daughter not only got married into a different society to that which my wife and I did. But a different one to that which they were born into. The rules dont apply any more. Each couple has to find their own level without a road map. For a woman in particular, a man is no longer a plan.. And men are struggling for a direction to maleness.
