Do you think society is doomed to fail? Or are we improving?

A lot of people tell me we're improving because of all modern day technology. I don't see it that way. I think we're failing. I don't know when, but I believe greed and stupidity will be humanities downfall.

I think we're very much in an "end of an empire" phase socially and undergoing a lot of traumatic change. But more realistically the changing climate on the planet is going to drive social collapse before capitalism coming apart at the seams or whatever.
