If we discovered life was a simulated reality

would it be the duty of our scientists to find a way out of it?

Please so. I'd like a world to myself. Why would you want out? If there was a reality outside of our world's that controlled it, that would mean it has limits, least far more than our own world. So you could pretty much do whatever the hell you want in this one of you could figure out to how to manipulate it.

@Jackaloftheazuresand nope. If scientists found out we lived in a simulation and found out a way to leave, most of the stupid people would just blindly follow. Leaving you to do what you want, if you stayed anyway. And if it was a simulation, and you figured out how to control it. You could literally become god and do whatever you want. So... Sounds like a party to me. I'm staying.
