Are there random people you respect in your life?

and why? :)

One of mine would be the local priest. I don't see him much these days, and i'm not at all religious. Yet i hold more respect for him than most. He genuinely tries his best to help people in the best way he knows, and puts far more effort and feeling into it than he has to. A good person at heart imo.

For sure. One of the locals where I grew up, [redacted.] He was everyone’s dad, uncle, or grandpa whether you were related by blood or not. Spent over 20 years mentoring local youth, after his kids had grown, helping them with school shit, or to find work, or to find a mentor in a specific field. Plus he was a volunteer firefighter and medic, and EMS instructor, on top of his career.

All around hell of a guy.
