Finite. There is no such thing as infinity in nature. Infinity, and infinitesimals, are just imaginations.

@Glambarber Your question ("where does it end") is understandable, but unfortunately there is no simple answer. There is no end, but it's finite at the same time. A lot of intermediate steps have to be taken before the structure of the universe can be understood, at least in part. The whole notion of space and time (as we know it) has to be changed. Essentially, there is no pictorial approach. The answer is purely mathematical. That's the sad truth.
