Yes I did this. I took some IT related training and then transitioned into IT full time. Totally worth it.

@SW-User This was in the early 2000's so it was classroom learning that I did in the evenings and weekends. It was a training school, not an accredited college.

@PlumBerries Why thank you! If you have the inclination I can recommend going into IT. It's not easy, and long hours, but the pay is good and you have a lot of job security, people always need help with technology.

I suck with technology.. half the time I cant even figure out my tv remote control.. I don't think I have a future in IT lol

@PlumBerries Ha ha ha, well it's good you recognize that about yourself. The point being, it is possible to make changes in your life if you identify what you need to change and follow through on such changes.
