What are your thoughts on antinatalism?

Antinatalism (from Wikipedia): a philosophical position that assigns a negative value to birth. Antinatalists argue that people should abstain from procreation because it is morally bad.

When I first heard about this position, I thought it was crazy. But after doing a little bit of research, I'm starting to understand where antinatalists are coming from. I don't identify as one, but I certainly won't be having any children. What are your thoughts on antinatalism?

I think that there is an easy medium some people want children some don't and people should not be encouraging one or the other, if someone is undecided on weather they want a child let them come to their own conclusion. there is a problem in overpopulation, but I hope that is something we can solve without violence and causing anyone who wants a certain amount of kids to have less, kids. I feel bad for anyone who cant afford a child but I think as long as you can afford it you can have it, if you are on government support you should try to get out of that situation before having children its morally wrong to impose tax money on children being born. I am definitely not an antinatalist i oppose encouraging people not to have children.

I have no idea tbh. I had a kid, don't want anymore I doubt it's because of this but who knows
