Took a date to the movies, look over and she's chugging vodka out of a bottle in her purse.
I told her, "we're leaving".
Outside, she acts like she is going to dump a large movie theater soda on me. I crush it in her hand and say calmly, "I have older sisters and you're a foot and a half taller than me. You can take a swing at me but don't think I won't beat your ass just because you're a girl."
My first experience as a teenager putting an adult in their place.

@xixgun Age doesn't equate to maturity, not even to kindness. It all depends on the person's heart. You saved yourself big time by knowing she's not worth it at the time. Of course, this doesn't mean people can't change.
Mostly we grow up when we get hurt and realize we could make things better by being courageous. Adults tend to fail when they just give up or think it's hopeless.
