I’m thankful for every day I get in this wonderful life and even more so because of the good health that I and my loved ones enjoy.

@Helpinghands Amazing. :)
@SW-User it’s partially an age thing. The older you get the more you appreciate being alive. That’s obviously quite a generalisation, there are exceptions but there's a lot of truth in it in my experience.

@Helpinghands Yeah I think you're right. There is a saying, youth is wasted on the young. And that's because they take everything for granted what people who advance in age see differently.
@SW-User that’s so true. Two cases in point: my lifelong friend in his mid 50s who has terminal cancer appreciates every day and enjoys even the simplest pleasures to the full now. Yet on the other hand I know of a teenage kid of a close friend who is struggling to find the motivation to carry on with life at all at the moment.

@Helpinghands Yeah. It's quite ironic.
@SW-User it’s the nature of life. Sometimes you really don’t appreciate what you’ve got until you’ve lost it or realise you’re soon going to lose it. It’s very difficult for most young people to truly grasp that.

@Helpinghands The whole idea of life would be lived better if it was lived in hindsight.
But yeah, as it is how nature intended, we all make our mistakes and hopefully realise not too late to appreciate all the little things.
@SW-User yes! I always tell my kids, enjoy it while you can, seize the day etc. Hopefully it’s sunk in even if just to indulge me!
