What’s one lie that too many people believe in?

There's quite a few, but considering essentially every one of them is controversial (obviously by the very nature of it) I'm not too inclined to really talk about the actually important ones.

So, people thinking the Earth is flat.
And people thinking that too much of the American budget goes to NASA.

Both falsities are just, ridiculous.
