Behaving, as in acting?

If you are simply intelligent your knowledge is more like something you possess for yourself. It's simply there, in you.

The difference comes mostly in how you use it. If you use it to solve problems in a daily basis or even more to create something, then you are acting intelligently. When your skills are used in this world.

Many intelligent people aren't able to act intelligently... They are just like closed interesting books.

I am intelligent. Most of the time I also conduct myself intelligently. Then sometimes like most humans my emotions louse me up a bit.

"Being intelligent" to me as a descriptor implies a deeper thought process than the average, someone whose thoughts express a depth not often found. Everyone has some degree of intelligence but for me to use it as a description they must rise above the norm.

"Behaving intelligently" simply means putting a decent amount of thought behind words and actions and doesn't require any kind of particularly exemplary intelligence.

Hmm.. being intelligent is when you pass an exam or come close to passing it by studying a 20 day course in one day. Acting intelligent is when you study a month for it and just pass and still don't excel in it

I don't know why anyone would knowingly behave intelligently unless they were really insecure about their intelligence. For intelligence, hide that stuff as best you can and only let it out if it's going to help someone else.

It's more making smart decisions than "behaving intelligent." Good decisions could be the product of just listening to those telling you what to do. Intelligence is kind of too complicated to really define. I have my own personal criteria, that always comes from me just talking with the person, not so much credentials, though those should certainly be considered, I guess.

I don't care much about the perception that people have on me but I think I must behave very intelligently in the conventional sense.

Not sure what intelligent behaviour is. Every example I think of is more wise behaviour. 😅

Being intelligent - you don't try to appear intelligent, behaving intelligent is the opposite of it.

You don't need to use makeup if you are beautiful.

I am intelligent. Behaving in an intelligent way means the person has to think before acting.

Being intelligent is being equipped with the skill. Behaving intelligent is utilising that skill.

I think it would be better to say behaving smartly.

It could well be argued by definition that intelligent implies behaving intelligent(ly)
