Why do you use this site?

I have an advance bone disease ,mixed with an autoimmune disease
so they are eating my spine ..
Surgery also caused scar tissue that has encroached sensory nerves ,and over time
it has crushed them ,,adding to my pain ..
Bone is flatting my spinal cord in 2 place ,,,and that is just part of my medical problems ,,so to say I am in pain is an understatement

So I keep my mind busy ,SW helps

It helps me avoid boredom ,and its a good distraction

I have learned over the years as I help others ,it also helps me

So ,,I share some of my life experiences ,a little advice
sometimes I get a chance to help people by sharing some of the tricks of the trades of some of the jobs/fields I have worked in (a little DYI )that has saved a few people some money ..

When they happen to be on (I sleep crazy hours ,so I am never on at any set time)
I like conversations with friends
I encourage them sometimes ,,mainly ,they encourage me

But its mainly a distraction ,,I hurt a lot less when my mind is on something else other then how bad I hurt
So that is the main reason ,,but I have other reasons ,its not all just a waste of time ,,,,
those reasons only people that take the time to know me get to hear about ,,,but I was asked to come here
I liked the people and the site ,so I stayed

I use it to vent, share my deepest thoughts, share my artwork as I’m too shy to show it in offline life. To meet like minded people, and to explore my curiousities from other experiences shared here. I’ve had a wild but simple life.

Probably all those aspects you mentioned but also i'm fascinated that so many people on here seem to be interested in sex when my experience with people in real life has been the complete opposite.

I like to read what people really think about things, or as close to it as you can get.

It's just like driving past an accident on the highway...you can't keep from looking, but you don't really want to see.
