What is your personal view on Death and Consciousness?

We are no longer an organism and become an environment for life much smaller than our own. We become like the rocks and trees, and soon rejoin the Earth. Dirt - Can actually tell us exactly what it's like to die.
We, who cared so much about the afterlife, will soon no longer care about death. We, who a decade or two ago cared about certain TV shows or music, every cell in our body is replaced every 7 years, or so. Every neuron is replaced one ion and molecule at a time. That's nearly EVERY atom. We've died already, many times, constantly. We'll die again and again until you devolve into an earthworm, then into dirt.
Religious people seek to exist forever but not all religions.
In Buddhism, Nirvana is used as a synonym for vimutti, release from samsara, as the ultimate goal of the Buddhist path.
Definition of Nirvana: total annihilation of self.
