How much personal information do people share with others?

I'm just thinking about boundaries. What's the appropriate amount of information to share with different categories of people (significant other, friend, acquaintance, co-worker, etc.). Is there a point where it becomes problematic?

I learn a lot being quiet at first. Then if I'm interested I start asking questions until I can get you to start telling stories. I will answer questions but generally never volunteer information about myself. Most people are delighted to keep the attention on themselves and we can keep the arrangement up for years.😂

I think entering the danger zone in terms of sharing information has more to do with the integrity of the individual and the conversation than their identity in your life.

Everyone needs boundaries some are really lax and some are like a fortress ( I ain't saying a word without my lawyer type) . Everyone is different and that's good. Only advice I'd say is be careful with what you don't want the whole world to know about. Just my opinion. Hey maybe I should iesten to my own advice. 😂

I always get in trouble when I go on and on and on 😂 actually I'm quiet most of the time but I'm not afraid to add my opinion here and there.@EmilyEdith

I barely share anything with anyone, but I suppose it all depends on the level of trust associated with each type of person. Wouldn’t talk to my coworkers like I talk to my sister ya know?

IRL, I share virtually nothing. I don't like talking about work or life with friends IRL.
