I think most people would. The stresses of the modern world are one thing that makes people be less nice I think. The struggle to try to get ahead doesn't leave time to think about being nice to others. Life was hard years ago, but in general I believe people were nicer to each other.

@gmatthewb You had a point. Whether people accept it or not, what has made them who they are today was accumulated in their lives from childhood to adulthood
