What are you supposed to do when you are constantly at war with yourself?

You like yourself and then you don’t, your anxiety allows to you to focus only on the negative things. constantly ashamed of who you are, wanting to change but always coming back to your true self. confused about your own feelings and emotions. Not knowing who you are. i’ve been trying hard for some time now but it’s difficult to fight anxiety alone. Sometimes I feel crazy but I’m too self aware.

That's your brain trying to tell you to change and grow. It should often be targeting some imperfection or flaw that you perceive yourself to have. Sometimes you have to dig deeper and find the real issue. But, it's just finding acceptance with the things you cannot change; and, finding the courage to change the things you can.

I heard a good quote one time saying that we don't "find" ourselves. We "create" ourselves.
