How do you view mistakes, whether at work or personal life?

I don't call them mistakes... I call it "Gaining experience".

That's a nice way of putting it. I'm a lot harsher towards myself though.

@SW-User I'm harsh on myself too, but what I posted is what I have always said to people in teams I have lead at my jobs.
