These usually seem to be just looking for affirmation on something anyway, often you see it from the question and their replies to the answers, they present one-sided view and then reply to people that take it at face value like "Exactly!" etc. (And of course, there's always limitless supply of guys saying "Ditch him, take me instead!).
I guess much of the time it's cathartic, they don't actually intend to take any action, they just want other people to participate in the bashing of their partner. While it can be temporarily helpful, it isn't healthy. Of course, as with the relationship questions itself, every situation is different, but this pattern seems to fit large number of those I see.
