Channel it into my art as much as I can.

@UndeadPrivateer sane here dude, but the more bitter I am, the more macarbe my art gets lol.

@SW-User I could say the same, honestly. My stuff gets really dark and macabre if I'm feeling really negative and channeling it into my work. Not that the usual is a whole lot lighter toned. Lol. Of my 6 primary settings I make most of my stuff set in 4 of them are either apocalyptic or heavily feature apocalyptic sections/themes. And 4 of them (including the two that aren't apocalyptic) heavily feature totalitarian regimes.

@UndeadPrivateer apocolyptic theme, sounds interesting. Mine mainly consist of brutal violence in action but with a bit of a humorous twist, and it helps when i can’t express my dark humour vocally. But they all have one thing in common, the gallery of those particular illustrations take the piss out of a fucked up human hardwired mentality to be ashamed to make love but we glorify and get entertained by violence.

@SW-User I can certainly understand that. I think the real constant underlying theme in my own work would be best summarized as... the human tendency toward exceptionalism(thinking we're the best and most important thing around) when in reality we are incredibly insignificant on the grander scale of the universe, though that doesn't mean we cannot play a grand role in influencing the universe around us. It plays out in different ways in the various settings. One is mostly about humanity basically sabotaging and annihilating itself purely due to aggrandized selfishness and insularity. One is mostly about how we overreact to our surroundings and perceived threats and how that can damage us and cause us to turn against each other when we should stand together. Some are more about how great forces of nature can be at work around us and just roll right over us, something completely beyond our control to which we must simply adapt or die.

@UndeadPrivateer that is a very cool perspective behind your work there and it is sad that we are evolving that way. Sort of reminds me of how artificial intelligence and advanced technology in the future can affect humanity in weird ways, you seen Black Mirror?
UndeadPrivateer · 31-35, M
@SW-User Love Black Mirror, really neat sci-fi series. Heavily influenced by a ton of my favorite writers too, besides having lots of neat original ideas of its own.

@UndeadPrivateer I never get stuck into TV series since the Sopranos, but I got addicted to that one pretty quickly, but just not enough episodes in a season.
UndeadPrivateer · 31-35, M
@SW-User Yeah, it's really really short but so good. Though to be fair I'd rather have a handful of incredible episodes than a deluge of meh ones anyhow.
SW-User
@UndeadPrivateer yeah so true, even when I used to watch the Sopranos, so many episodes were boring but some of the boring bits piece up the story line. Now thanks to one you tube clip, it shows the whole series with only the “whackings” the good bits lol.
UndeadPrivateer · 31-35, M
@SW-User Lol, gotta love the internet for that kinda stuff.

@UndeadPrivateer totes dude.
