I don't believe in depression

I strongly believe that the happiness of others are also your happiness.. this will not let anyone alone be empty.. I agree that depression is a state of too much self centeredness, one constantly feels that others are inadequate of easing one's discomfort. When one is freed from the walls of their selfishness, no one will experience such state of mind.

Just like everyone in the world, depressed people all think differently, and are affected by depression differently. Some just want to be left alone in that slump, and others (lots of others) go to counseling, reach out, try to change their ways, take meds and still cannot get away from their depression. I don't think your opinion is ignorant, but lumping everyone together is, because everyone is different, and I hope someone that is depressed and does their best doesn't read what you've said and puts them in a lower state.

@StayGold I didn't put them in a lower state..It is the act or the belief I am trying to condemn. I think some may more like to die than to agree to my post. They even resist cure..geeeezzzzzzz
@Sepia I didn't say YOU are putting them in a lower state, Ive said they read it and that puts them in the lower state. You can't control how you feel about something, but you can control how far that feeling goes. Some people have more and less control. 🤷🏻‍♀️ As you can tell from the comments.

@StayGold okay dear got it..its my perception though..they can roll out in anger but I cannot do otherwise if they take this too huge
@StayGold I don't think it was the intention of the OP to sound arrogant and bigoted. The essence of what she says is true, but there are circumstances in extenuation that she did not communicate with her original post. There is clinical depression and there is circumstantial depression. I saw that she expressed her idea in a way that was bound to receive negative feedback, but I don't think she meant it quite the way it sounded or looked.......✌
@puck61 Okay? I'm just saying, lumping everyone together isn't right regardless. There's better ways to give an opinion than lumping all depressed people together, because they're all different. Don't really care about the rest of what she said, it's her opinion afterall. 🤷🏻‍♀️

@StayGold Well said!! Don't waste your time with her...she is toxic and thrives on being hated
Sepia · 36-40, F
@Fernie well said..you have more hate, you are abundant in hate that is more toxic..good luck
@Fernie I wouldn't say that. She just has a different way of thinking. Literally the only problem I have with any opinions people give is when they lump people together. Even those who agree with her think differently than her. Just don't lump. Some depressed people are selfish, and some people fall under what she's talking about. Not close to all. That's ALL I care about. 😂

@StayGold I think she is mean and uninformed. Everything she says screams that. You go through life with that mindset though...you'll have less aggravation

@Fernie mean??? and uninformed..before it became clincal depression there were things the sufferers are unaware and not mindful of their mental health until they became sick. Just like alcoholism..or any addiction..@StayGold Cultural as you call it..but rather the habits or lifestyle have huge impact..poorer countries have less depression rate, they rather be productive and leave all unecessary emotions..poorer communities are also found happier compared to first world countries.. My belief was precautional...I can't have belief as others here as I don't want depression to happen and rely on meds but to have a good faith and understand life's meaning than dwell on sad episodes of life.
@Sepia huh? I don't understand why I was tagged
