I don't believe in depression

I strongly believe that the happiness of others are also your happiness.. this will not let anyone alone be empty.. I agree that depression is a state of too much self centeredness, one constantly feels that others are inadequate of easing one's discomfort. When one is freed from the walls of their selfishness, no one will experience such state of mind.

This is quite frankly the dumbest thing I’ve read all day... I’ve lost people and I struggle with it myself. People with depression have often been the kindest people I’ve met out there. It’s not a choice and it isn’t self-centeredness.

@Throger because you can't let go of people

That is self centeredness

@Sepia I can and have let go of people. It’s life. Don’t just assume things 😂 You are free to believe what you want but when it’s countered by a scientific fact... well... yeah 😂 and to be blunt, it feels like you’re essentially mocking everyone with depression which is distasteful. I pray to goodness you never have to deal with depression as it can be a living nightmare. People handle it differently, people obtain it differently. To say it’s gained one way is... dumb. There are too many factors to count into it

@Throger Having happy choices are not dumb..you first have assumed..If other people have handled it well why the other can't do? You just leave them sick???
Throger · 26-30, M
@Sepia because not everyone handles things the same way. If it worked like that life would be boring. It’s tough trying to help everyone, not everyone wants help or is open about it. Posts like this don’t help. It makes people afraid to open up. Not everyone can simply ‘be happy’ it doesn’t work like that. Some people can do that and more power to them, it’s just not everyone can. Sometimes just simple understanding of an individual’s problems means the world

@Throger "not wanting help" is an attitude problem that is what I am addressing to. As you said..kind people are often to have depression..are they genuinely kind?..is the hapiness they made to others are the real hapiness they feel...our just trying to put on a "kind skin" too appear kind that is why they end up broken....If others can cope, the other can. There has something to solve within genuinity on attitude itself.

@Sepia If you think because one person can have the power to be happy then everyone can be... then you are dumber than I thought. Not really sorry.
Sepia · 36-40, F
@Throger lol people who are not happy are dumb..they don't do anything to get out from unhappiness
Throger · 26-30, M
@Sepia and how do you know that? You don’t. You don’t know the lives of anyone so stop assuming you do. It’s pathetic
