Sepia Well, I know you meant no offense, but it's unfair not to recognize injuries that you can't see, and when you say that the injuries are self inflicted, that is naturally going to be met with resentment. You see a quadriplegic person, or a veteran who gave his legs for his country, and you feel some kind of compassion and sympathy , but when the infliction is inside the skull in the most delicate and complex organ of one's body, then we are quick to make unfair judgments and assessments. Think about it. People are incessantly telling each other, " You're crazy!" or " She's crazy!" or "That's crazy!" People like to use "insane" as a derogatory term also......crazy, insane, nuts, mental, mad, etc......The skull hides the wound, and society shows less respect, tolerance, and understanding.
