I don't believe in depression

I strongly believe that the happiness of others are also your happiness.. this will not let anyone alone be empty.. I agree that depression is a state of too much self centeredness, one constantly feels that others are inadequate of easing one's discomfort. When one is freed from the walls of their selfishness, no one will experience such state of mind.

Is this a ploy to get lots of coins? 👀
Sepia · 36-40, F
@Peaceful nope..this is how I think
Peaceful · F
@Sepia many of the depressed people I personally know, tend to be too selfless, which depletes them and depresses them.
Sepia · 36-40, F
@Peaceful because they thought of themselves of the happiness that should be repaid..hoping at least but it will not come. They will end up sad

@Peaceful ikr?

I guess all the guys I served with that are missing arms and legs and/or are confined to a wheelchair for the rest of their lives are just a bunch of self-centered, selfish assholes according to miss twatwaffle up here...
Sepia · 36-40, F
@wildbill83 okay...but there is that man without arms and legs why isn't he depressed?
Peaceful · F
@Sepia not necessarily. You are assuming people expect payback for kindness.
I'm speaking of something
completely different anyways.
I'm talking about a person that gives out so much love to others, they often forget to replenish themselves...this creates an imbalance or what's called, depression.
Peaceful · F
@Sepia perhaps he's moved through his experiences and healed them. Who is to judge someone's journey or experiences?
Sepia · 36-40, F
@Peaceful See he moved..if he can why not others can? others have more than what he has
Peaceful · F
@Sepia plenty of others do.
Are you drawing your comments from personal experiences? I'm just trying to understand where you are coming from.
Sepia · 36-40, F
@Peaceful drawing my comments??? Personal experiences and seeing others experience too
Peaceful · F
@Sepia hmmmmmm. It is odd to me as so many replies to you, go against your personal experiences. Interesting. 🤔
Sepia · 36-40, F
@Peaceful what do you mean exactly?
Peaceful · F
@Sepia people here on your post vehemently disagree with your perceptions. I find that interesting.
Sepia · 36-40, F
@Peaceful I don't go againts it..I chanel it properly because I know if I stay sad or be a burden to others I rather not. I prefer the positive way..have you see others here..they don't want to be cured as they impose and that's the worst
Peaceful · F
@Sepia so you've been taught coping skills with what you've faced so far. I think that's great! Many haven't or have had so many awful things happen to them, they can no longer cope. That isn't their fault. Compassion, for wherever someone is at, is the best approach I've found.
Sepia · 36-40, F
@Peaceful I believe so it has something to do with attitude. Have you seen how people reacted here? They will attack you rather commemt in stories that sympathyses them...if they are really interested to be cured but how come there is resistance? My story is an eye openner it might be a hard pill, a hard truth..not everyone takes it
Sepia · 36-40, F
@Peaceful I have compassiom towards it..if I don't I rather don't post my thoughts..because I believe it might be a help
Peaceful · F
@Sepia I did see many of the comments. You realize you insulted depressed people by calling them selfish, right?

I've stayed respectful this whole time with you, as I do with most people on here.
Peaceful · F
@Sepia calling depressed people selfish isn't compassionate though.
Sepia · 36-40, F
@Peaceful That is what I saw.."selfishness"...when one cannot let go, when one cannot accept...forcing things to happen so they sulk all time until they are sick. The attitude is the common root of the sickness. There is no disrespecting happening here, as I said it is a hard pill equivalent of truth.

@Sepia Pucks post he just shared on here has some great insight.
Sepia · 36-40, F
@Peaceful I just replied..maybe you can take an insight on it
Peaceful · F
@Sepia may I ask what country you live in? I did read your reply to him. I think this may be a bit of a language barrier and this is why I'm asking.
Sepia · 36-40, F
@Peaceful I'm a Southeast Asian
Peaceful · F
@Sepia I understand. It may be a cultural thing as well. I can see you mean no harm.
