My mental age and my actual age never truly hang out together. Depending on the situation sometimes my mental age is younger, and at other times it's older. Every once in awhile they will actually meet up and maybe have some coffee together, but then it's off again on their own happily separate ways.
@sspec I need them. I saw the doctor today, and he shrugs off my edema while sometimes I feel like the reaper is tapping on my shoulder. He acts like it's a common cold even though I'm starting to get the cellular breakdown that occurs from poor circulation in the extremities.

And I wish people would stop using how many times the Earth has orbited around the Sun since my body has been on it, as a gauge of what or how I must think, say, do or be.
Age prejudice really gets in the way.
