@UndeadPrivateer so was I bro, then I became that person that did rebellious risky stuff and being a teen “druggo” got me friends but the wrong kind.

@SW-User Not the kind to be like that, no. Lol. My oldest friend and I are both loners to quite a degree so we can easily go long periods without even communicating but it never impacts the friendship. Some more actively supportive friends later in life but never had the whole buddy-buddy friendship experience in my childhood.

@SW-User Yeah, much the same here. My teen years were quite the wild psychonautic rollercoaster.

@SW-User My brothers had some friends more like that, I know that much. I never was able to fit into any crowds as well as them. 🤷 Not that I mind, I don't care for fitting in anyway.

@UndeadPrivateer Fair enough. Im more a person to person closeness than a crowd fit in. So I always had a best friend, up until I begun to work and life just got really busy for most people.

@SW-User Yeah, never really had the "best friend" thing either. Good friends, like prior mentioned old friend I got to know in the third grade, but no real personally close ones in school age. To be fair I was always quite intensely introverted, so it's no real surprise I never held anyone's interest like that. I opened up later.

@SW-User Sweet of you to say. 😁 I made due alright, probably a big reason I'm as persistent as I am. From flying solo on many things.

@SW-User I’m one that prefers person to person closeness than being social too.

@SW-User yes. It's more wholesome.

@SW-User agree and better conversations rather than small talk.

@SW-User For me it died down closer to 21, serious health issues put a damper on the partying.

That was my problem, I thought I was invincible lol, then when I finally got my shit together at 28, was on a serious health kick then I got back on again then my health problems started creeping ther way in from there, two years ago at the worst of my addiction sort of made me realise yep not invincible after all.
At least you wised up when you did at 21. @UndeadPrivateer
