How can the future change if the past generations don't teach anything but to submit to the systems in place?

We all know baby boomers are getting really old the gen xers and the millenials are what is in now, but we all POINT at broken windows and never want to tell each other to fix it. Why is it so? 🤔
Every time somebody says "I want to CHANGE something. I want to inspire and FIX something" it is coupled with an almost immediate response from older and "wiser" people to poke holes in the foundation of that idea with statements similar or quite such as "There is nothing you can do to change how the world works." "You're young and don't understand how hopeless that is" "You can't change anything by yourself"

So, how CAN the future change ANYTHING if people don't want to encourage to accept that we actually CAN? And why are some people saying you can't help change the world? 🤔
I think we all can, given we learn to trust in it, in each other, and listen. It would certainly go easier if we stopped trying to defend against change

It's because over the years you've seen a lot of failure to implement any kind of structural changes that would actually help. You can't help but get at least a bit jaded. On the other hand, I saw the Berlin Wall come down live on TV when only a few years before that had been inconceivable. It was just astonishing how fast it happened.
