Im curious

How many of you wear the ☺ mask but aren't really all that ☺. Are you really good at it or do people find out how you really feel inside easily? Why do you do it? Is it more beneficial than harmful? What do you think of people who haven't mastered this mechanism yet? Are they missing out or doing something wrong?

I try to but my life automatically falls to pieces anyway so I can't hide that I'm depressed. When I can't do well at work anymore and am not ironing my work clothes and literally walking in the office with feet only half inside my jordans.... I guess everyone eventually knows.

@SW-User do you feel ashamed about it? I find it strange how people feel ashamed about it.

@HankHill honestly? Yes. I don't want to do bad at work. Also, mental illness is something that gives haters a reason to gossip about and bully. Typical sadistic behavior that an already hurting person doesn't want to be a victim of. Also, they WANT to watch you crumble, and when you're doing that just excellent at your own hands, that's where the shame comes from.

@SW-User oh...I see. That's horrible. Now i get it. But i don't like how people do that. Perhaps I'm in the minority but I actually welcome conversations like that. It's better to live by each others happiness rather than by their fake happiness. I now understand the risk of opening up however. Thanks
