since when is teaching English and biology to kids not a great achievement? teaching is a great and noble profession. the only problem you have is a bad attitude.
Nina756 · 31-35, F
@eatpraylove You'd be surprised at the attitude some schools have to evolution and sex education. I am not weak minded. I have pulled myself through depression twice. This time it's getting to be harder.
eatpraylove · 56-60, F
@Nina756 the attitude of the school will not be your source of happiness. if you get happy it will be because you positively affect the lives of children. you are kinda all over the place. be more dignified. you are a teacher. you teach. be proud.

Einstein worked for years as a patent clerk ... He seems to have got their in the end... Just don't lose faith in who and what you are, ok? :)
You have such courage to leave unhappy jobs. Never compare others journeys to yours. Green eyes serve no purpose. I am encouraging you to do as Pickle suggests. Take a chance. Move. Find a job somewhere new and far and challenging. Another country. Move outside your comfort zone. You will learn so much. And meet such people. Wow, I remember being your age. Wondering what to do. Was this life and living? Explore. Learn. Live. Evolve. This is the perfect time. You are single. Have great education. Go out and make the life you fantasize about. You can do most anything. Do this and challenge yourself.

@PoetryNEmotion Thank you.

Nina, I wish you peace. It is hard to feel good about yourself when you compare against others. https://tinybuddha.com/blog/key-happiness-compare-less-be-more/
You have put in hard and long hours helping children. That is something to be proud of as eatpraylove pointed out.
I encourage you to find people around you who are supportive and loving. Having a community/tribe/circle really helps as we navigate life.
If you are truly at your wits end then please find professional help.
Take care.

That's awfully tough. Are you free to move to another area? some areas are desparate for teachers & you could have your pick of jobs, and be able to avoid those that treat reality with such disdain. You WILL make it, one way or another.

If you are a qualified teacher,do your research; pack your bags and head to Europe.
Major shortage of good teachers almost everywhere.

What about supply teaching for a bit?
SW-User
@Nina756 Take a risk and do some supply teaching. The pay is good and you'll get known at schools who will offer you a job when they have one.
You can also apply for posts at the same time.
Otherwise maybe a career change. People don't realise how tough teaching is. X
