If art was pointless, no human culture would make it.
In fact, all do, and lots of it.

Yes, there is a tension that art is made more for love of it than money,
and serious artists wish they could make money from it,
so they can spend their whole lives doing nothing but art
hence becoming brilliant at it --

but -

the very creativity which makes it possible to be an artist
is the same faculty that makes it possible to adapt to practical needs
and find ways to both earn a living and make art -
and they don't have to be by the same means.

@hartfire Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes.

It's with wonder that the artists and dreamers seek to find the answers to the questions... about the heart, mind, body, soul, spirit, space, the universe and so much more.

I've been at concerts where I've felt so inspired and so profoundly moved by the sounds of the music I've heard.

Let's continue seeking, creating, supporting one another... I stopped dreaming after working in corporate America for nearly three decades. And I'm thankful for the world to stop spinning for a bit so I could jump off, take a good look at myself, and begin the transformation I needed to get back on again. I'm a work in progress. And I've got a lot of work ahead of me. But I am starting to dream again.
