I used to. But it didn't end well.

Oh well.

@GeistInTheMachine Really :0 how so?
GeistInTheMachine · 31-35, M
@kimmy159 Long, long story.

But it is what it is. Time to move on.
kimmy159 · F
@GeistInTheMachine Well, if you ever need someone to talk about it in order to be able to move on, I'm right here ^^
Online connections can be as tough and as real as real life ones :-))

@kimmy159 Thank you for the kind offer.

Yes, you're right about that.
kimmy159 · F
@GeistInTheMachine You're welcome ^^ If you cared about someone, it's always difficult to let go, no matter what happened. But on the other hand, I'd like to believe we can learn from it and work towards even better "connections" in the future :-))

@kimmy159 I'm using the negative outcome to better myself. I realized I was becoming too complacent and unhappy in my life, so in the long run it's probably for the best that things ended.

In just a matter of months, my life has changed radically, and that can make way for new opportunities.
kimmy159 · F
@GeistInTheMachine That's a really good way to look at it ^^ I'm glad you're able to do that :D Most people just remain stuck in the negativity of it all.
GeistInTheMachine · 31-35, M
@kimmy159 Oh, the negativity is always in the background.

It comes in waves, and my mood varies by the hour sometimes.

But I realize it's up to me to take the initiative and responsibility for my life, now that I'm alone.

Only I can make the changes I need. Each hardship is an opportunity. I was stuck and lost before, and now I can see a dim light at the end of the tunnel.

The hard part is breaking through the hesitation, fighting through the loneliness, and walking through that tunnel alone.

But it can be done.
kimmy159 · F
@GeistInTheMachine And that exactly, is truely amazing :-))
I know it takes a lot of strength to do so, whenever you feel in doubt or down, remember the journey you've gone through so far and look how much further you've come :D x
GeistInTheMachine · 31-35, M
@kimmy159 Thank you. Yes, I've been through hell and back many times, and it will probably take many more visits back before I reach the pleasure that life has to offer, but it's worth it.

I either have a strong will to live, or I'm a masochist.

Haha.
kimmy159 · F
@GeistInTheMachine Hahaha xD that partly sounds like me too. I'm starting to think I'm a masochist emotionally ;p
GeistInTheMachine · 31-35, M
@kimmy159 Whatever gets us though, lady! Just do what works.
