Part Native ,Part Saxon
Not to be confused with "native American "
They where called by tribal names long before America was heard of
@rckt148 Which tribal name ? 🙂

@bijouxbroussard Like the Sioux ,Cherokee ,though Americans may have called them that ,the point was they were not native Americans ,,there was no America here LOL
Hope all is well 🤗
@rckt148 Yes, I understand. I was asking by which tribe do you identify ?
rckt148 · 61-69, M
@bijouxbroussard Both I mentioned
One Great Grandma was full blooded Sioux ,the other was full blooded Cherokee
I was told they both married 2 brothers that were German but I recently looked up my history and we have family all over the world ,and German is where many are ,but these 4 Brothers that came to America were not German as I was told ,or so the official records say .
My ancestors even own a castle in England and a court to this day ,
but my direct ancestors were Saxon and the most famous of my ancestors was lost in battle ,
The wrong body is in his grave (I just thought it was cool that all that was in there )
They had my Grandpa's entire lineage ,but of coarse no records like that on Indians
Dad said Grandma was very strict ,he says that where I get it from
(I look Indian) He was like Grandma his Mom ,very kind and forgiving
I look like Mom ,act like Dad
Her real Mom was Sioux too ,very hard lady
She took a General Custer figure from me ,she said no killer would be honored in her home
@rckt148 I have a good friend with me now, he helped me haul some junk to declutter and I fixed us lunch. He’s Cherokee (mother born on an Oklahoma reservation, DNA registered) I asked him if he objected to the term “Native American”. He replied, “No, I’m an American citizen-the Constitution now says so. I’m also Cherokee. But what I’m not is an “Indian”. That was because of a mistake in geography.”😊

@bijouxbroussard I served this country and took a vow to defend it from anyone that would harm or divide it ,so I don't get Vets that are so caught up in the politics that does divide our country .
I nor my Dad were part of the civil war ,its been over for over 150 yrs
But I get we fight to preserve our heritage ,but not to a point we start a whole new war ,,if anyone is owed ,our ancestors are .
That crap over the pipeline made me mad ,and it did rupture (inferior steal I heard ) so the Sioux are just trying to protect what they have left and they don't care of its an inconvenience to a white man or not ,and I don't blame them.
Risk destroying the land they do have left and their rivers and streams .
But I didn't say that out of disrespect for our country ,just a fact ,
There was no America here then
