Because people are still unpredictable. They may love truly but don't know boundaries.

Love needs distinction.
"I love you" does not mean I do everything you want me to.
I want to be there for you, but I need you to respect my limits.
A yes-mother spoils the child.

Just because someone doesn't know limits doesn't mean they don't love truly.
Everyone perceives love differently and therefore the way they express it.
And even true love is not free of actions borne of insecurity.

@SW-User Love is often confused with dependence, or even obsession. Is there love without respect?

@proteus love is not separate from a person and therefore it will take the shape of what a person is capable of.
To them their love is true.
