Once upon a time in a land called Frolic's Way, there were eight men who claimed to be the funniest in the land. In order to win the hand of the funniest lady, they had to impress her with their humour. Each of them went home to write what they hoped would be considered the best of the best.

Okay, now it's your turn to continue the story. Write a paragraph or two, and I, or another member can continue where you leave off.

@Serenitree the first man, after exiting the funniest lady’s castle, travelled home as fast as he could. His humour had always been dry and sarcastic, so he wrote her a letter sarcastically criticising the other 7 men. He folded it and put it in an envelope before walking smugly back to the castle.

@frootjooce The second man, being a gentle man, prefered a softer approach. He went home and started writing a story about a family of foxes who each had a different speech impediment. It was to be a short story and the humour would come from the various misunderstandings.

@Serenitree the third man, odd and bouncy, arrived at his home and choreographed a funny dance which he would perform to silly music in front of the funniest lady. He drew inspiration from his time as a circus clown when he was younger. His humour would come from the strangeness and lack of dignity in his dance.

@frootjooce (I want this man to win. I like him best)

@frootjooce The fifth man was always sad or angry. His humour would come from telling about all his grave misfortunes in such a way that they would seem funny to everyone but him. His greatest skill was telling the stories, with the straight face expected, but the words were the comedy.
