Like in the words of one of the jurors "it was his own words that convicted him." He admitted to giving ladies Quaaludes without there knowing about it.
prawntobewild · 36-40, F
@Steve42 yeah i know. yet people are still defending him.

@prawntobewild Because my saying so is not a valid argument: https://www.cnn.com/2018/04/30/us/cosby-juror-verdict-deposition/index.html

As one of the jurors said after the conviction, "it was Bill Cosby's own words that convinced me." BC admitted in a court of law that he gave women Quaaludes before having sex with them. If you know anything about that drug, it will knock you out. It has all but disappeared in today's world, but it was a known powerful tranquilizer in the day. Bill knew what he wanted and knew how to do it.
A total legal lynch mob.
The lesson is ...
In Philly
... do not be black
... do not be a conservative black
... do not speak common sense
Or
They will ...
Locate people with an agenda
From your distant past
Ignore the law
Ignore the jurisdiction
Make up new laws
Then use a bizarre process of using somebody with no merits to introduce witnesses that have no reason to be there ... to assert uncollaborated crimes that were not crimes at that time ... without legal remedy to challenge.
Stay away from Philly!!!!

@questionWeaver I will if you will.
But, okay, for those with exquisite legal sensibilities.
No, ill will is not a crime. Aggravated sexual assault is.
Forgive my lack of clarity. You see, to someone who has experienced aggravated sexual assault, it feels very much like rape.
Now, I will be as generous with you as you were with me and give you the opportunity to reveal the underpinnings of YOUR accusations against the accusers.
Or is it only women who must be gentle with accusations?

The issue is not the accusers ... it is the legal question of why they were allowed in the courtroom in the first place.
The prior judge said no
This judge said yes, with no basis whatsoever.
None of those witnesses observed the crime, were present or even in the vicinity.
There was no evidence that these witnesses were producing.

@questionWeaver Okay. Thank you.

What I don't get, is why wait all these years to start come out? If it was that bad, they should of done something about it when it happened.
Crickets · 46-50, F
@prawntobewild Hugs.

you too xxx

It may be that you didn’t know your rapist or at least not very well so that you KNEW, without a doubt, that you were a victim. You didn’t have to think about it. You had to process the rape and the intrusion, yes. I actually don’t know your relationship with the person. It’s possible that she just was like not sure what just happened. He took advantage of her. He asked her if she wanted the medication and she took it. It was complicated. He didn’t out and right rape her. He manipulated her and took her when she couldn’t fight him off. @Crickets

Guilty as hell but people who don’t think so would be more likely to argue it was for money so not knowing their names would be irrelevant.
JarJarBoom · 41-45, F
I totally believe that Cosby was guilty as hell. What is funny is how it took Hannibal Burress to make a joke about it to bring it to the mainstream.
FreeSpirit1 · F
I trust the jury in this case.
TheProphet · M
No I don't think he was guilty. Those women are only after his money.
TheProphet · M
@prawntobewild Yes but I don't think many are being truthful. Easy to make accusations that are almost impossible to prove or defend against.
@TheProphet he was not allowed to defend against the witness accusations ... in the bizarre land of Philly justice
TheProphet · M
@questionWeaver I know. Sad really.
Bill Cosby was found guilty
Some women may have done it for fame
I can't even name one woman because I dont care enough. I barely care about Bill Cosby

He plead guilty
TheProphet · M
@prawntobewild Which should never have been admitted into the trial and will help his appeal.
prawntobewild · 36-40, F
why shouldnt it have been admitted?
TheProphet · M
@prawntobewild Because there was a legal non disclosure agreement in place.
nedkelly · 61-69, M
Dont need to Google, found GUILTY in court
prawntobewild · 36-40, F
@nedkelly his wife released a 3 page statement saying it was all a lie and the truth would out.
nedkelly · 61-69, M
@prawntobewild What else is she going to say
Spoiledbrat · F
I did not use google and the name Constance comes to mind.
GingerPeach · F
Yes he is guilty and can't wait to see what his sentence will be.
Spoiledbrat · F
Yes, he is guilty.
bijouxbroussard · F
What kind of "fame" would this bring them ? And he's said he drugged women in order to have sex with them. This is a married man with four daughters whom I'm guessing he wouldn't want treated that way. And if you have to drug someone to have sex with them, that brings up the question of consent, anyway.
prawntobewild · 36-40, F
@bijouxbroussard yes - it was rape

We remember the sinner, rarely the sinned against, which is likely a blessing for the sinned against.
