what are your thoughts?

Do you think its rude for a meat eater boyfriend to ask his strict vegetarian girlfriend to make meat for him?

She stopped meat 15 years ago for ethical reasons but buys meat and cooks it for him and they dating for barely a month.

Hes also very negative and post insulting things about vegetarians and says vegetarians must F off and he can eat what they want he posted twice actually. Her response to that was just a wow emoticon 😐

What do u guys think?
She’s stupid for buying and preparing meat for him. Her “ethics” are conditional and he’s taking advantage of that. He obviously has no respect for her beliefs, which are shaky in her desire to please him. And if they’ve just started dating, she’s really a fool. This kind of thing doesn’t get better with time.

[@328496,bijouxbroussard] I told her so. Very disrespectful. He is very childish too. Cant really tell her anything because she has a bad attitude

I think if they're serious then at some point, she would cook for him anyway.

What's rude is that he doesn't care about her feelings on the matter and doesn't put her into consideration when he acts. He sounds like an immature brat to me, a boy and not at all a man.

I have clear that a person can’t force another to do what (s)he doesn’t want to do, specially when it comes to personal convictions.
Being vegetarian is a respetable option as eating meat.
In my opinion, the boyfriend should learn to respect a little more other’s views.

It is up to her what she allows. He can't "force" her to do anything, and if that is happening she should have a talk with him about it. If they can't agree, then maybe he isn't the man for her.

Sounds like another case of a woman trying way too hard to please an insensitive and rude boyfriend. In a case like this, I can only imagine all the other things she'll accommodate for him, all the other areas where what she feels, believes and prefers will be ignored.

[@358142,greenmountaingal] she told me that she will never eat meat again
greenmountaingal · 70-79, F
[@525891,Clairessa09] I hope she can stick to that; she's already caved in quite a bit.

[@358142,greenmountaingal] if she does shes a fool from my side

But cooking the meat for him isn’t rude.

[@525891,Clairessa09] He doesn’t sound like much of a prize. He’s already putting up red flags. 🚩

Cooking the meat isn't rude though...
but the insulting is rude
She isn't a slave. She can refuse to buy or cook meat.
