I'm fairly acrophobic. Have a tendency to freeze up from heights.

@UndeadPrivateer Do you lucid dream?
UndeadPrivateer · 31-35, M
@MellyMel22 Oh yes. I've written a guide on the subject, after all. Is pinned in my profile.

@UndeadPrivateer I didn’t know! I’ll have to check it out.. Do you manipulate them into facing it?
UndeadPrivateer · 31-35, M
@MellyMel22 Can't really face phobias, at least if they're true phobias. True phobias are completely irrational, there's no way to rationalize and mitigate them. My fear of heights is definitely that, there's no thought behind the fear it's just... a primal feeling of abject terror and it becomes hard to move.
For what it's worth, though, I'm not acrophobic in dreams. But I'm also basically a demigod in my dreams, so. 🤷

@UndeadPrivateer Oh I meant in dreams! There are a few that are bad enough that I still freeze up with, but I’ve literally manipulated a few to face it and I haven’t had the crazy amount of nightmares that I used to since.

@MellyMel22 Yeah, I've had mixed results with reducing nightmares using lucid dreaming. It did reduce them a bit but they're still around, never went away.

My biggest two I faced by manipulating were heights and drowning. It’s amazing to be able to do that, even if it’s just a dream.
