What's your general rule for when to give up on something?

It can be a relationship, a job, a hobby, or something else. Do you have a rule for when enough is enough?

When faced with cheaters. It makes no sense to even try when the outcome is decided long before. That’s why they’re called cheaters and not upstanding citizens.

@MsAnnThropy That's really good advice, actually. I tend to deal with cheats, because I hold out hope that they'll change.
