What Happened to Us?

Sometimes I wonder what has happened to us - us being the world and the people who live in it. I'm reminded of a time when when we seemed to care about one another. What happened?

Not specifically about Africa, just the entire thought of the world caring.

In my personal opinion it is because the world has turned away from the truth. The truth is written, except some people either choose to ignore it or they are unaware of it.
There is an evil entity in this world that consumes us all, each and everyday. Its called sin. We are all born into it! We cannot escape it, except through forgiveness and redemption. The entire world lives in sin every day, thats what happening to the world. The whole world is the devils playground.
We've lost sight of who or what to believe in. Our society as a whole lives in a self-righteous, self-serving, self-indulgent society. Its conspicuous consumption.

We live in a free world, except at what cost?
So much of this world is hardened and some of this world also forgets to see the light in it all too.
