Is carrying a gun or pistol with me make me more safe ???

@SumitaSarkar If someone has a knife and intent to harm you, unless you're more than 100 yards away, it's not statistically likely you will be able to unholster your gun, aim and fire before they can run at and strike you. That's a part of police firearms training. If someone else has a [i]gun[/i] and intent to harm then you're not going to be catching any breaks at any range.

The gun just gives you the ability to defend yourself should you pull your gun before it comes to that or if you survive the initial attack. But it's a gambit, because it [i]can[/i] go wrong too. So really, the matter of whether or not a gun is something you should get comes down to if you think you're going to be in highly life threatening situations on the regular or there is some readily apparent threat, like a stalker or violent ex or such.

@UndeadPrivateer i learned that inside 20 yards, even if your hand is on your gun you will still be stabbed

@SumitaSarkar if a man approached with unknown intent, you say stop before he gets withing 30 yards, if he does not you draw your pistol, if he begins to run at you do not hesitate to kill the moment you have his chest targeted, put 3 rounds center mass and no less. if he stops however if you cannot see both his hands tell him to make them visible, if he does not comply then again, shoot him multiple times in the chest and then get out of there.

other wise you will most likely be stabbed

@SumitaSarkar Not the worst place, but still an unfortunate reality that it's very easy to get wounded or killed regardless of being armed or not. No one's invincible.

@SumitaSarkar im saying be aware of your surroundings and take nothing for granted, in doing this you can protect yourself without ever needing a weapon.
