we are moving towards equality of opportunity but we are not there yet. so it could be that we have not tried hard enough or it could be that we just have not had the breaks.

@Tuscan Uh we have equality of opportunity. What people are trying to change it to is equality of outcome.

We will never have equality of outcome because people have different abilities, no matter what, I am never going to run 100 metres as fast as Usain Bolt. Some people will be able to develop quantum equations but that is certainly beyond my mathematical abilities @MethDozer

@Tuscan Yet equality of outcome is what the current uprisings are trying to create and move us away from equality of opportunity.
Though your analogy doesn't work and doesn't have anything to do with the principle of equality of outcome. Equality of outcome means everyone basically has all has the same amount of wealth and success in life as anyone else. The lazy dumb fuck gets to eat the same kind of steak as the engineer so to speak..
