Stereotypes are created when the behavior being stereotyped is perceived to be true enough that it's embraced by a large enough number of people. Stereotypes can honestly be true.

@Heyimkayden Real racism exists and has varying degrees and causes, everything from normal ethnic friction to outright hatred. It's also overblown. It'll never be truly eradicated, but a just society can minimize any effects in the real world to the point where it's virtually nonexistent in any truly harmful way.

Fake racism is a way to silence opposition, to proclaim a false moral high ground and demonize your opponent or prevent people from speaking out against whatever policy the person screaming racism wants.
